Job Summary

Catholic Charities is seeking a skilled Housing Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our homeless services team, you will provide supportive and case management services to families in need, helping them achieve stability and permanent housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits and field visits to assess client needs and provide support services.
  • Develop and monitor individualized case plans for each family, setting goals and objectives to achieve stability and housing.
  • Provide practical support, education, and assistance to clients in addressing immediate needs related to achieving stability and life management skills.
  • Act as a liaison between landlords and program participants to ensure housing stability.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data entry and submission of case records.

Requirements:

  • BA degree and one year of experience preferred or AA degree and three years related experience.
  • Previous experience locating and maintaining affordable family housing.
  • Experience working with families in crisis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of community resources for families transitioning from homelessness.
  • Ability to speak Spanish or Cantonese.
  • Knowledge of mandatory reporting requirements for people working with children.
