About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Hematology/Oncology team at Southeast Georgia Health System. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care in our acute care and outpatient settings, working independently and under the direction of physicians.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the oncology department, including patient assessments, development of individualized care plans, and monitoring vital signs and managing side effects of treatments.
- Work in collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality patient care and make informed decisions about patient treatment plans.
- Participate in emergency care as warranted and provide timely interventions to ensure patient safety.
Requirements:
- Completed PA/NP training and relevant experience in hematology/oncology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
