Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead our capital projects and ensure their successful implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, project management, and facilities management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure project delivery, including contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Coordinate with management to develop multi-year strategies for capital spend and budget forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project files and records, including tracking of all projects, invoice management, and accounting in compliance with approved budgets.
  • Review and authorize payment of invoices, develop contract documentation, and attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
  • Manage the monitoring and quality of work, and conduct performance evaluations of contractors and consultants.
  • Assist the stores and purchasing functions to ensure materials are on hand and in sufficient quantities to support project activities.
  • Conduct disaster preparedness and disaster response to property damage, including damages from fires, hurricanes, and other natural or man-made disasters.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas utilizing 5S methodology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Construction Science, Project Management, or related field, and at least 6 years of proven experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of facility management, construction science, project management apprenticeship, and/or 4-6 years of relevant experience, or accredited education, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Certification from the International Facilities Management Association is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA 18001 standards.
