Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at GeoEngineers, Inc. As a key member of our geotechnical team, you will play a crucial role in managing exciting and technically challenging projects.

Responsibilities include planning field programs, conducting technical briefings with field staff, and project management tasks such as budgeting and client communications. You will also be responsible for performing engineering analyses and preparing technical reports, as well as conducting regular site visits and overseeing field explorations and construction observations.

As a project manager, you will be responsible for mentoring and overseeing the work of junior staff. This is a great opportunity to grow your career and contribute to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or coordinate the development and implementation of field exploration programs and construction observation projects.
  • Assist with training junior technical and technician staff.
  • Complete engineering analyses and calculations, including pavement design, slope stability, settlement, shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, and seismic design.
  • Lead the generation of technical reports, including completion of routine reports, figures, tables, etc.
  • Lead the generation of construction plans and specifications for slope stabilization, soil nail walls, soldier pile and tieback walls, and ground improvement projects.
  • Lead project management tasks, such as attending project meetings, budget and schedule planning, staffing and task assignments, deliverable preparation, and proposal development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree with a Geotechnical Engineering focus strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required.
  • At least one year of project management experience.
  • PE license required.
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Valid driver's license required.
