About the Role

Resource Label Group, Inc. is a leading provider of label and packaging solutions, offering a diverse range of products and services to various industries. We are currently seeking a skilled Digital Press Operator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate the HP Digital printing press to produce high-quality pressure sensitive labels and related products.
  • Input data, including time and materials used, into job management software.
  • Read job orders and load jobs into the press, fill ink cans, and pump with prescribed inks.
  • Start the press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary.
  • Adjust printing impression as necessary and run down approval strips.
  • Cut samples of approval strips from printed rolls, inspect for imperfections, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate job-specific information or changes to the supervisor in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
  • Report any production or press issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Keep inventory usage accurate at all times.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as required.
  • Keep work areas clear and organized, maintaining housekeeping standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of previous experience operating a press in a printing environment, preferably a digital press.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to read and interpret ruler, scales, and other measurement devices.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
