Position Overview:
The Computer Engineering Co-Op role is designed to assist the Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering teams, focusing on engineering design, prototyping, testing, and production. The co-op experience will evolve from foundational software tasks to more complex engineering responsibilities throughout the rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct product testing to ensure quality and performance standards.
- Engage in prototyping and software development for embedded systems.
- Develop and refine engineering processes.
- Explore and research emerging technologies.
- Contribute to new product development initiatives.
- Support sustaining engineering activities, including engineering change notices and drawing revisions.
- Investigate and develop Machine Learning algorithms and AI applications using MATLAB.
- Design PLC systems and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing challenges within the production environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited institution with a minimum of 59 credit hours completed.
- Desire to gain practical engineering experience in a collaborative and innovative lab environment.
