Key Responsibilities- Leading and managing a team of System Administrators to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT systems and applications within their assigned section.
- Experience in leadership and managerial duties for team members, including but not limited to resource management, talent interviewing and training, and onboarding new hires.
- Supervising administrators whose duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space.
- Developing and monitoring policies, standards, processes, and goals for direct reports.
- Coordinating system administrative support for training development/evaluations and operations and sustainment plans.
- Participating in Change Request reviews, including participating in Change Management boards at multiple program levels.
- Coordinating technical and process document reviews and resolving system administration, engineering, and integration issues.
- Participating and leading technical meetings with team members and other program personnel, and representing the organization in functional area matters.
- Providing IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Maintaining DoD Directive (DoDD) 8140/8570 Certification requirements, including obtaining CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification within 6 months of start date.
- Typically, a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience or 12 years of directly related experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with some but not limited to, the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, AWS, MySQL, Remote Desktop Gateway, and Netwrix.
- Prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, Windows administration, or Mac OS experience, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.
- Experience working with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF and handling classified information.
- Experience in the following areas: patch management, High Performance Computing, OS Upgrades, computer security, system monitoring and logging, and Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
- Industry certifications including but not limited to: Security+, CISSP, ITIL, ISC2, PMP, etc.
- High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
- Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140/8570 Certification requirements, including CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification.
- Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
