Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute administrative and instructional duties in various Allied Health programs, including Geriatric Care Assistant, Nurse Aide, Patient Care Technician, and Hemodialysis.
  • Adhere to specific institutional criteria vital for program success.
  • Employ diverse teaching methodologies tailored to accommodate various learning preferences.
  • Facilitate student recruitment, enrollment, retention, graduation, and job placement efforts.
  • Provide academic advising and maintain comprehensive student records, while offering support beyond the classroom.
  • Develop and uphold a master course syllabus.
  • Engage in evaluations of student learning outcomes.
  • Exhibit effective communication skills with students, faculty, and administrative staff.
  • Integrate instructional technology into course delivery.
  • Design and coordinate educational content to comply with state standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Recommend and assist in the hiring of faculty members.
  • Coordinate activities of the program advisory committee and ensure program accreditation is maintained.
  • Participate in college-wide Faculty Council and Consortium Committees.
  • Involve in program assessment for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accuracy of program information and manage equipment inventory.
  • Organize teaching schedules and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Meet state and institutional employment qualifications.
  • Comply with institutional and state policies and procedures.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience and two (2) years of documented experience in nursing education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in a relevant field.
  • Over five (5) years of experience in healthcare or education.
  • Five (5) or more years of clinical nursing experience along with three (3) years of nursing education instruction.
