Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals and embark on a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Our 12-month Nurse Residency Program is designed to provide new graduate nurses with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to succeed in their role.

Program Overview

Our comprehensive program combines precepted orientation, led by dedicated preceptors, with blended learning experiences. Nurse residents will develop the clinical judgment needed to rapidly recognize a change in patients' condition and the urgency of a clinical situation. They will also cultivate excellent communication skills, allowing them to engage with colleagues and support patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
  • Develop the clinical judgment needed to rapidly recognize a change in patients' condition and the urgency of a clinical situation.
  • Cultivate excellent communication skills, allowing them to engage with colleagues and support patients.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be a new graduate of a nursing program
  • Have a current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse
  • Have BLS CPR certification
  • Have a Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
