Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Engineer to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in conducting research and development in the areas of molecular and diagnostic projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development in molecular and diagnostic projects, including fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry analyses, in vitro drug efficacy studies, and other related tasks.
  • Assist with performing basic laboratory procedures, including cell culture and characterization, standard molecular biology techniques, and coordinating interactions with other labs.
  • Maintain laboratory infrastructure, source and procure supplies, document protocols, and supervise and train students on equipment and laboratory techniques.
  • Develop and implement new optimized protocols for new instrumentation, evaluate their feasibility, and maintain organized records.
  • Provide advice to PIs on research designs and protocols.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Excellent research and development skills, with experience in conducting research projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
