Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and promote company and site safety protocols, actively engaging in all safety initiatives.
  • Direct the assessment of contractual specifications related to project completion and pre-commissioning needs.
  • Facilitate collaboration and direct interaction with client operations and commissioning teams.
  • Oversee coordination with the client's Distributed Control System (DCS) contractor.
  • Manage and forecast the comprehensive budget for pre-commissioning/commissioning, including specialty subcontractors, training, and necessary materials.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of the primary contract and project protocols, ensuring adherence to project requirements and developing additional procedures as necessary.
  • Administer all facets of the pre-commissioning timeline, including specialty subcontractor and vendor training.
  • Supervise the tracking, reporting, and turnover documentation of projects, ensuring field teams comprehend and apply tools according to specifications.
  • Plan and relay vendor requirements to personnel engaged in commissioning tasks on client projects.
  • Formulate and execute commissioning strategies.
  • Lead the pre-commissioning team during the implementation of completion and commissioning tasks.
  • Assist in constructability evaluations.
  • Conduct accept/reject assessments of construction status and completion on equipment.
  • Examine installed devices and finalize field-required setups and verifications.
  • Coordinate and supervise checkout, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages, addressing issues and routine requirements of equipment and devices.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of activities is maintained and processes are adhered to for record-keeping and reporting, including turnover documentation.
  • Guide area commissioning managers and pre-commissioning staff in tasks required by the Completions and Commissioning department.
  • Manage projects for Completions and Commissioning, including support for proposals.
  • Comprehend the operational processes and procedures of various testing equipment, logical controllers, and field control systems (PLCs) as integrated into startup protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies and standards.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 11 years of experience in Completions and/or Commissioning, or
  • Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field with 9 years of experience in Completions and/or Commissioning, or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant field with 7 years of experience in Completions and/or Commissioning.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experienced with Bluebeam and cloud-based software.
