About the Role

Globe Life is seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL Developer to join our team. As a key member of our data integration team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex ETL processes to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Development
    • Design and develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical design documents.
    • Perform code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support ETL processes.
  • Production Support
    • Provide timely response and resolution of emergency production questions, issues, and defects.
    • Adhere to a production support process to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Application Maintenance
    • Work on periodic maintenance releases of applications, including enhancements and defects.
    • Look for ways to enhance design of application for better maintainability and software reuse.
  • Business Alignment
    • Involves users in the development/maintenance of applications.
    • Understands how users use their applications.
    • Anticipates users' future needs when architecting solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and ETL.
  • Strong understanding of data management and data pipeline tools.
  • Experience with migrating RDBMS from On-prem to AWS.
  • Strong ETL Development experience using ETL tools including Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS.
  • Strong Hands-on Experience with complex SQL and relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, and Postgres.
  • Excellent skills in writing, maintaining, testing, and debugging code in T-SQL.
  • Hands-on experience including design and implementation across broad range services on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
