Position Overview:

Schweitzer Incorporated is seeking a dedicated and experienced FOH Operations Supervisor to enhance our dining services and ensure efficient daily operations. This crucial role involves assisting in managing bar functions, supervising front-of-house staff, and maintaining an outstanding guest experience alongside the FOH Manager. The ideal candidate will possess extensive bar expertise, proven leadership abilities, and the capacity to act as the manager in the FOH Manager's absence.

Key Responsibilities:

Bar Management:

  • Craft Beverage Creation: Develop and refine craft cocktails, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Bar Oversight: Supervise the bar area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations while training staff on hygiene and organization.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor bar supplies, communicate needs to the FOH Manager, and track usage to minimize waste.
Staff Supervision:
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and support front-of-house staff, ensuring professionalism and readiness for service.
  • Training Initiatives: Collaborate with the manager in training sessions and provide ongoing coaching to staff.
  • Performance Assessment: Assist in evaluating staff performance and implementing improvement strategies.
Guest Engagement:
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns.
  • Service Quality: Uphold high service standards to guarantee a memorable dining experience.
Operational Support:
  • Role Flexibility: Step into various positions as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Staff Scheduling: Assist in creating and managing staff schedules for peak service times.
  • Opening and Closing Duties: Help with the restaurant's opening and closing procedures.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Ordering and Stock Control: Assist in ordering front-of-house products and conducting inventory checks.
  • Financial Oversight: Ensure accurate reporting at the end of shifts and train staff accordingly.
Essential Skills:
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in food and beverage, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older.
Work Environment:
Primarily indoor with occasional outdoor tasks, exposure to kitchen and bar hazards. High discretion required when handling sensitive information.
