ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and safety within the educational environment. Under the guidance of the Principal and Head Custodian, the incumbent will perform essential custodial tasks to ensure the facility remains welcoming and functional for students and staff alike.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. **General Cleaning Duties:**
- Execute daily cleaning routines in classrooms, hallways, and restrooms.
- Ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies, including soap and paper products.
- Maintain cleanliness in cafeterias and common areas, ensuring hygiene standards are met.

2. **Grounds Maintenance:**
- Regularly clear debris from outdoor areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment.
- Conduct seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal and landscaping.

3. **Equipment Management:**
- Operate and maintain custodial equipment safely and effectively.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

4. **Safety Compliance:**
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing custodial duties.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in custodial operations.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial services is advantageous.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Good physical stamina and the capability to lift and move heavy objects.
