Engagement with swine, canines, and ovines is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily upkeep of animal health and welfare

Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain safety protocols

Ensure daily sanitation of all animal living quarters

Provide daily enrichment activities for animals, including exercise, toys, and social interaction

Conduct weekly disinfection of all housing areas, encompassing walls, floors, and feeding containers

Administer feed to all animals in accordance with departmental SOPs

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all laboratory spaces

Manage the receipt of departmental shipments

Promptly communicate any health concerns to Veterinary Staff

Document all activities in animal records and forms daily, adhering to Good Documentation Practices

Assist Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians as directed by the Manager

Report any facility maintenance needs to the Manager

**Note: Animal Care responsibilities may include weekend shifts**

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds is required.

Quality Assurance Duties and Responsibilities:

Incorporate quality into all aspects of work by ensuring compliance with all quality standards.
