CORA Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Part Time Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of our safety and security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Client and Visitor Safety: Initiate positive interactions with clients and visitors to maintain a welcoming, safe, and secure environment.
- Security Patrols: Conduct proactive safety and security patrols throughout the facility and parking areas to identify and address potential safety concerns.
- Emergency Response: Respond to urgent or emergency situations in a way that minimizes trauma to clients and staff members and results in stabilization.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document and report any unsafe conditions, security violations, or related incidents to ensure compliance with safety and security procedures.
- Support Services: Provide escort services for clients, staff, and visitors as needed, and provide break coverage for the Receptionist as needed.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in a similar role strongly preferred.
- Skills: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and visitors, and ability to remain calm during high-stress events.
- Certifications: CPR certification or willingness to complete training within 90 days of hire.
- Physical Demands: Must maintain physical fitness standards based on the physical demands of the job, including frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs, lifting, and getting on/off the ground or floor.
