Hospital Safety Officer

Pennsylvania Medicine is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, conducting innovative research, and educating future healthcare leaders. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, employees, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to internal security or fire emergency alarms and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of individuals and property.
- Investigations: Conduct preliminary investigations of alleged criminal acts occurring on hospital premises and identify potential security threats.
- Escort Services: Provide protective escort for individuals and hospital property as required.
- Fire Protection: Conduct fire protection inspections of hospital premises and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Reporting: Submit daily operations reports to departmental management and maintain accurate records of security incidents.
- Certifications: PA Act 235 certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required upon completion of six months of employment.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Equivalent experience in law enforcement, security, or a related field may be considered in lieu of education.
