Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Equipment Installer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation of complex integrated Security & Fire systems, including wiring, equipment, and programming systems for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to national electric code, company, and customer guidelines.
  • Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot complicated problems during installation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
  • Perform system checks for proper operation.
  • Conduct End-User training.
  • Ability to isolate trouble to a customer network, where applicable.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Fire Alarm Systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Access Control Systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with IP addressable security devices.
  • Computer literate with advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
  • Must be able to operate a company truck with an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient with all aspects and operation of ADT A.I. core card access, CCTV systems.
  • Associate Degree or 2-year technical school program graduate preferred.
  • Industry-recognized apprentice training program may be substituted for the formal education requirement.
  • Any Town Fire Alarm Listed Agent Certifications.
  • Specialized training/certification in Access Control, CCTV- Analog, CCTV- IP, and Security Gate Operators.
