Position Overview:

Please note: This is not an IT Audit position. The focus is on banking operational auditing.

This role involves supporting our client with audits related to banking operations, including retail banking, electronic banking, and commercial banking. While there may be some involvement with SOX testing, the primary emphasis will be on operational audits.

Key Qualifications:

Experience in at least one of the following audit areas is strongly preferred:

  • Legal compliance audits, including policy reviews and intercompany transaction assessments.
  • Enterprise risk management, such as Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), model risk management, and business risk controls.
  • Human Resources audit experience.

The Internal Auditor I is tasked with executing assigned internal audit procedures and activities with objectivity. This role specifically assists in the planning and execution of various operational, financial, and compliance audits in alignment with accepted professional standards, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

This individual enhances the Bank's operations by collaborating with Internal Audit Management and conducting fieldwork for audits. They will draw conclusions regarding the adequacy of internal controls based on collected and analyzed audit evidence, document observations as audit issues, and perform validation procedures to assess remediation activities undertaken by management to address identified concerns.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with management and key personnel to identify areas of concern and plan audit execution.
  • Perform audit procedures, including issue identification, evidence review, and process documentation.
  • Review documents, create summary memos, and prepare work papers.
  • Identify key risks and controls to develop and implement an audit work program.
  • Present findings to the Internal Audit Manager or Director of Audit and auditees, providing recommendations to enhance the control framework and align with the Bank's overall objectives.
