POSITION OVERVIEW:

Registered Nurses in the Weekend Only program will work from Friday at 7 a.m. to Monday at 7 a.m. and will receive a Weekend Program differential for each eligible hour worked. The RN will earn a percentage above their base salary, equivalent to an additional 4 hours for every 12-hour shift completed. Additional shifts from Monday to Thursday can be picked up at the base pay rate, along with any applicable shift differentials or incentive pay.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with providing outstanding nursing care to patients by:

  • Employing strong organizational and leadership capabilities to evaluate patient conditions
  • Identifying the priority of patient issues and requirements
  • Executing clinical nursing interventions
  • Possessing a broad range of skills
  • Creating and implementing patient care plans to enhance outcomes
  • Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments
  • Review, update, and modify care plans to achieve desired outcomes
  • Administer medications safely in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies
  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Nursing

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Valid Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Mercy Health will assist in obtaining required certifications during Orientation if not already held
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – American Heart Association
  • Mercy Health will assist in obtaining required certifications during Orientation if not already held
