Job Summary

ICONMA is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Mental Health Specialist. As a key member of our mental health team, you will be responsible for providing psychological services to inmates/residents in a correctional facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
  • Assessment and Screening: Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on review of available records, and clinical interviews with inmates.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Confer with other clinical staff, including psychiatrists, mental health service providers, physicians, nurses, and social workers, to gather and provide information concerning patient psychological problems.
  • Treatment and Intervention: Provide treatment to inmates by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Make regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs.
  • Professional Development: Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Doctoral degree in Psychology.
  • Licensure: Must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state where practice occurs.
  • Experience: Must have two years clinical experience, which includes one year in a comparable position.
  • Certifications: A valid driver's license is required.
