The City of Kings Mountain is dedicated to the safety and well-being of its community, particularly the younger population. As a School Crossing Guard, you will be instrumental in ensuring that children navigate roadways safely, under the guidance of the Patrol Division Captain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safeguard children while they cross streets at designated school crossings.
  • Arrive promptly at the assigned crossing location.
  • Notify the Patrol Division Captain of any absences.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiarity with school crossing protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and the general public.
  • Capability to manage traffic situations with confidence.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
