Position Summary
We are seeking a proficient Spanish Interpreter to support effective communication between Spanish-speaking individuals and English-speaking professionals. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate interpretation and facilitating understanding within diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face interpretation sessions between Spanish and English speakers.
- Ensure accurate interpretation while maintaining the original message.
- Follow ethical guidelines to uphold confidentiality and neutrality.
- Assist in translating written documents as needed.
- Engage in ongoing education to enhance language proficiency and specialized terminology.
- Professionally manage scheduling and client interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in both Spanish and English with strong verbal and written skills.
- At least 2 years of interpreting experience.
- Certification from a recognized organization is preferred (e.g., CCHI, NBCMI).
- Strong cultural awareness in both languages.
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
