The United States Air Force employs hundreds of tactical aircraft to complete its missions, including fighters, strike-fighters, and attack planes. As a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that every component of these high-performance aircraft is maintained to the most exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair aircraft systems, including engines, fuel systems, and electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspections and repairs
  • Collaborate with other maintenance specialists to ensure aircraft are airworthy
  • Meet strict safety and quality standards
Requirements:
  • Meet the Air Force's minimum education requirements
  • Pass a qualifying ASVAB score
  • Have normal color vision
  • Complete a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks, and Credit
  • Complete 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
  • Be at least 17 years old, but not yet 42 years old on the date of enlistment
