Quality Inspector and Inventory Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing precision inspections on a variety of fabricated or purchased parts or finished products using standard and special purpose measuring tools, instruments, and equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform precision inspections on fabricated or purchased parts or finished products to ensure conformance with design specifications.
  • Determine methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for inspection.
  • Maintain records in accordance with ISO 9001 or Mil-Q-9858A.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation.
  • Ensure that fabricated/purchased parts or finished products meet design specifications.
  • Interpret technical and military specifications.
  • Inspect parts from first piece through assembly or prototype phases for conformance with design specifications.
  • Perform calculations to determine angles, tolerances, dimensions, and other measurements in accordance with engineering specifications and other quality requirements.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the movement of materials through the production cycle of the organization's product.
  • Monitor inventory levels throughout production life cycle.
  • Perform periodic review of inventory levels, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand.
  • Prepare orders to replenish materials, equipment, and stock.
  • Perform general tasks and complete routine assignments.
  • Compile records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued.
  • Requisition needed supplies; verify material received to determine irregularities in order; inspect articles and reject defective ones.
  • Prepare inventory records and reports and investigate discrepancies in stock counts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience or a High School diploma and 6-8 years of experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is ideal.
