Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our Sports Medicine Program, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our student athletes, ensuring their safety and well-being on and off the field.

Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services to student athletes, including injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and reconditioning.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs, including screenings and educational seminars.
  • Collaborate with coaches, athletic directors, and other staff members to ensure a comprehensive approach to athletic training.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in athletic training, incorporating evidence-based techniques into your practice.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) from the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification.
  • North Carolina licensure as an Athletic Trainer or eligibility for licensure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
Work Environment

This position is employed by UNC Health Care, a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
