We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our Sports Medicine Program, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our student athletes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide preventative care to student athletes, including screenings and on-field treatments.
- Communicate effectively with coaches, athletic directors, school nurses, and other staff as appropriate.
- Casting patients, providing splints, braces, crutches, and other DME, and provide patient education for these items.
- Answer patient clinical phone calls in a timely manner and completing disability paperwork.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and therapeutic exercise.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification.
- Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners or license eligible.
- BLS for healthcare providers.
- One (1) year of experience as an athletic trainer preferred.
