Job Title: Senior Communications Specialist

The Senior Communications Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Corporate Communications department in its various areas of oversight, including corporate, internal, and financial communications. This individual will be responsible for aligning with the department's Vice President on prioritizing their work to support the overall business objectives of the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Chief Communications Officer and department's Vice President with scheduling and administrative tasks, including processing invoices and corresponding with vendors.
  • Write and edit written correspondence and materials, including corporate press materials and press releases.
  • Support the department with preparation for Board presentations and earnings calls.
  • Manage trade advertising for the department.
  • Handle internal communications, including weekly press coverage recaps and quarterly fact sheets.
  • Update executive bios and organize headshot shoots as needed.
  • Support the Vice President in managing television communications, including liaising with internal executives and talent representatives.
  • Oversee awards internally for the department, including managing the calendar and circulating nominations and wins.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned to contribute to achieving the department's business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 4+ years of experience in a business-oriented communications environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Internet, Outlook, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organization, time, and project management skills.
  • Strong research ability and experience.
  • Possess the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work proactively in a fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Experience working with high-level executives and maintaining the utmost of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company.
  • A passion for the entertainment industry.
