Visa Eligibility Analyst

Quality Support, Inc. is in search of a Visa Analyst to provide essential assistance to our Government Client. The successful candidate must hold an active TOP SECRET Clearance to be eligible for consideration. The Visa Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting Government personnel by preparing letters, reports, and specialized correspondence. The primary assignment will be within the Screening Division (CA/VO/SAC/S), with potential responsibilities in other VO offices as directed by a Government manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide security advisory opinions regarding the visa eligibility of individuals under the provisions of subsections 212(a)(3)(A), (C), and (D) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), addressing policy-related grounds of ineligibility, as well as section 306 of the Enhanced Border Security and Visa Entry Reform Act of 2002.
- Evaluate visa eligibility for individuals requiring review due to their refugee petitions, following-to-join asylees, or those involved in the Iraq or Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) translator programs.
- Facilitate coordination among overseas missions and relevant Washington, DC agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Intelligence Community, and other State Department offices, focusing on policy, counterintelligence, and non-proliferation inadmissibilities related to visa applications.
- Manage the exchange of information between Interpol and overseas missions concerning foreign law enforcement watchlist data pertinent to visa applications.
- Collaborate with overseas missions and CA/VO/I to ensure the accuracy of watchlist information in the CLASS system concerning policy-related grounds of ineligibility.
- Assist VO managers with inquiries from various stakeholders, including posts, Congress, and other Government agencies.
- Engage in consular outreach initiatives, such as professional meetings and university events.
- Oversee individual portfolios by region or policy issue.
- Demonstrate flexibility and availability to work at different locations as required.
- Exhibit the ability to learn and retain information regarding visa application procedures and related regulations.
- Interpret complex legal statutes and regulations.
- Communicate security requirements for visas professionally and courteously.
- Conduct thorough research on visa cases, compiling information from diverse sources and summarizing findings clearly.
- Support special projects, including conferences and representational events.
- Assist in training new analysts in core job functions.
- Serve as a backup for other analysts during their absence.
- Be available for telework as permitted by Government Managers.
- Bachelor's Degree (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in written and oral communications within an office setting, including:
- Two (2) years in policy development, international relations, or related fields.
- Four (4) years of experience with various office software, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
