Quality Support, Inc. is looking for a Visa Analyst to assist our Government Client. The successful candidate must hold an active TOP SECRET Clearance to be eligible for this role. The Visa Analyst will provide essential support to Government personnel and will be responsible for drafting letters, reports, and specialized correspondence. The primary assignment will be within the Screening Division (CA/VO/SAC/S), with potential responsibilities in other VO offices as directed by a Government manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide security advisory assessments regarding the visa eligibility of individuals based on specific provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and other relevant legislation.
  • Evaluate visa applications requiring additional scrutiny, including those from refugees and participants in special immigrant programs.
  • Facilitate communication between international missions and various Washington, DC agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Intelligence Community, on matters related to visa application policies.
  • Coordinate information exchange with Interpol and international missions regarding foreign law enforcement watchlists as they pertain to visa applications.
  • Collaborate with international missions and CA/VO/I to ensure accurate maintenance of watchlist data in the CLASS system.

Location: Washington, D.C.

Compensation: $80K - $95K

Position Type: Full-time

Qualifications:
  • Assist VO managers with inquiries from various stakeholders, including foreign diplomatic missions and other Government entities.
  • Engage in outreach initiatives, such as professional and interagency meetings, and educational events.
  • Manage specific portfolios related to regional and policy issues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work across different locations within the State Department and partner agencies.
  • Possess the ability to learn and retain information regarding visa application processes and regulations.
  • Interpret complex legal frameworks and communicate security requirements for visas effectively.
  • Conduct thorough research on visa cases, synthesizing information from diverse sources, and prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Support special projects, including conferences and bilateral delegations.
  • Assist in training new analysts and provide backup support as needed.
  • Be available for telework as required by Government Managers.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of six years of experience in written and oral communications within an office setting.
  • At least two years of experience in policy development, international relations, or related fields.
  • Four years of proficiency in office software, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
