Job Title: Director Loan Accounting

As a key member of the Ashton Lane Group, Inc team, we are seeking a highly skilled Director Loan Accounting to join our organization. This role will be responsible for providing technical accounting guidance and support to our loan product teams, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS guidance related to loan products.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise to loan product teams, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address accounting implications related to lending activities.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Communicate complex accounting concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with Global Controllership, Finance, and SEC Reporting teams to ensure impacts of accounting implementation are reflected in financial statements, disclosures, and investor relations materials.
  • Formulate US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC technical accounting positions/memos and reporting matters.
Requirements:
  • Proven deep technical accounting knowledge, particularly with regards to loan accounting.
  • Proficient in broad technical accounting knowledge in other areas of GAAP, including complex equity transactions, mergers & acquisitions, consolidations, variable interest entities, financial instruments, and derivatives.
  • Result-oriented, high-energy business partner with the ability to influence, collaborate, and work with the CFO, CAO, controllers, treasury, tax, and other finance leaders.
  • Prior experience with coaching techniques to grow and mentor an efficient and control-oriented team.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication style and message to audience.
  • Candidate must possess an undergraduate degree in accounting and/or business administration, and a CPA or equivalent designation.
