Job Summary

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Support Associate 3 - Cashier/Bookstore to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication skills, strong math abilities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary cashier, balancing cash drawer daily, and preparing and delivering bank deposits.
  • Create invoices and sales receipts for bookstore sales.
  • Assist bookstore manager with ordering, receiving, stocking, and conducting inventory of items for sale.
  • Pre-packaging and distributing books and supplies to students on start dates.
  • Serve as back-up support for general purchasing approvals.
  • Perform general office tasks such as filing, creating reports, data entry, answering calls, and scanning/copying.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience in customer service, cash-handling, or sales.
  • Must possess the communication skills necessary to effectively and tactfully interact with the public and employees at all levels.
  • Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Good math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal direct supervision.
Working Conditions

This position requires sedentary work, involving sitting some of the time, and requires mental and visual attention to detail. Strength requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $28,449-$35,561 per year, commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines, education, and related experience.
