Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Developmental Services of Dickson County. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance and support to individuals in activities of daily living, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Encourage and facilitate community involvement, social interactions, and relationship maintenance.
  • Respect and advocate for the rights of individuals supported, treating them with dignity and respect.
  • Provide transportation for individuals to access the community and participate in activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation, adhering to HIPAA, State, and Federal laws and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass mandatory drug screen and physical examination
  • Pass a criminal history and personal background checks
  • Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation
  • Valid driver's license for at least 3 years, acceptable driving history, and proof of auto insurance (if required to drive)
Compensation:

$15.00-$20.25 per hour

Flexible hours, full-time and part-time opportunities, paid training, and paid time off.
