This position is responsible for ensuring the quality, cleanliness, and efficient operation of the kitchen while on duty. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with the management team to achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with management about operational issues concerning quality of service, cleanliness, and efficient operations
  • Ensure timely completion of operational deadlines and adherence to kitchen standards
  • Monitor profitability of restaurant operations and take corrective action as needed
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
  • Assist with staff training and development
  • Ensure all marketing responsibilities are completed and in effect
  • Contribute to positive morale among kitchen staff
  • Ensure safety and security of the restaurant and its staff
  • Ensure proper handling of food and restaurant supplies

Requirements:

  • Availability to work Sundays on a rotating basis
  • No visible piercings other than earrings
  • No visible tattoos for service staff that are macabre, violent, or distasteful in nature
  • Adherence to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a loud environment
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures
  • Preparedness to conduct weekly cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move items up to 30 lbs. for distances of up to 25 feet
  • Ability to remain standing and active for up to an 8 hour shift

Kitchen Staff Dress Code:

  • Clean and pressed kitchen T-shirt
  • Thermometer
  • Sharpie
  • Capital Ale House hat worn with no other visible head covering
  • Black pants or kitchen checks
  • Sturdy closed toe non-slip shoes
  • Socks
  • Clean shaven or neatly trimmed beard and mustache
  • No jewelry other than a wedding band and earrings
  • Food handlers must wear gloves at all times while preparing food
