Job Summary

We are seeking Licensed Practical Nurses or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to join our team of healthcare professionals at the Pierce County Jail in Tacoma, WA. As a LPN/LVN, you will play a critical role in providing proactive, patient-focused healthcare to our unique and diverse patient population.

Responsibilities
  • Take and document all patient history and vital signs
  • Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical surgical procedures and examinations and/or treatments
  • Administer medications
  • Perform venipuncture and I.V. therapy
  • Collect samples, specimens and cultures
  • Transcribe therapeutic orders
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited program for practical or vocational nursing
  • Hold and maintain a current, unrestricted nursing license in WA
  • A valid CPR card with a minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred
