Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to attorneys from the inception to the resolution of cases, ensuring high-quality work.
  • Court Filings: Utilize various court filing systems to file pleadings according to state court requirements; federal filing experience is an added advantage.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and track expenses for the firm, attorneys, and clients, processing reimbursements and payments using application software.
  • Client Billing: Assist attorneys with client billing, including entering narratives, tracking billable tasks, making edits, calendaring billing due dates, and delivering bills in both electronic and paper forms.
  • Correspondence Handling: Handle incoming and outgoing mail and other forms of correspondence.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: Must have at least five (5) years of law firm experience, preferably as a Real Estate legal assistant.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including extensive knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel, and experience working with law firm case management and billing software required, including FileSite, CMS, SmartTime, and Aderant (preferred).
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
