We are looking for a Registered Nurse to fill a critical role in our healthcare facility. This position involves a travel contract in a dynamic environment, focusing on night shifts with a schedule of 3x12 hours. The primary responsibility will be to develop and oversee individualized care plans for patients. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be expected to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and compassion in your practice. Your role will involve crafting tailored care strategies for patients while effectively communicating and observing their needs.
Patient Care Details:
Patient Ratio: 1:1-3 for critical care; 1:4-6+ when floated (to be confirmed with traveler)
Required Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in Acute Care related to this position
Availability for every other weekend
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH required
Potential for additional float units based on skill set and hospital requirements (to be confirmed with traveler)
No block scheduling
Local candidates are welcome
No fresh graduates
Patient Demographics:
Experience with Acute renal failure, GI Surgery, CVAs, TBIs, and ventilated patients is essential.
Preferred Skills:
Neuro ICU/SICU experience, strong EKG skills, proficiency in Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, TAVI/TAVR, insulin protocols, CVVHD/CRRT, strong IV skills, lumbar drains, post-neuro surgery, EVD, and ventilator management. Familiarity with IABP/Impella/LVAD is a plus.

Charting System: EPIC
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies
- Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse effects or reactions
- Document changes in patient conditions and communicate updates
- Maintain precise records of patient care and discuss observations with supervisors
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
- Prior experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and patient care skills
- Valid driver's license
- First aid/CPR certification is mandatory
