Position Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in managing the movement of materials necessary for production. You will receive training to operate equipment such as Front End Loaders and Yard Trucks, ensuring that raw materials are mixed and transported effectively to meet production targets. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment is a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate yard and plant machinery to load and manage materials.
  • Ensure raw material mixtures maintain appropriate moisture levels.
  • Communicate with team members to optimize drying processes.
  • Conduct daily equipment maintenance before each shift.
  • Clean machinery, vehicles, and processing areas as required.
  • Maintain a tidy work area, ensuring raw materials are organized.
  • Prioritize safety in compliance with all company regulations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining loaders is preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic math skills for handling measurements and calculations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch frequently.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of items up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

This position will be performed in a production facility, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures.
