Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Clinical Nurse Supervisor, your primary duties will include overseeing and coordinating the operations within the hospital across various departments. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Acting as the authority in the absence of nursing management.
  • Guiding staff effectively during emergency situations.
  • Assessing staffing needs based on patient census and acuity.
  • Ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and policies.
  • Serving as a clinical resource for complex patient care issues.
  • Managing patient admission and discharge processes to enhance care quality.
  • Promoting a culture of excellence in patient experience.
  • Collaborating with management to optimize staff productivity and resource utilization.
Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in clinical practice, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, and 1 year as a Clinical Nurse Supervisor.

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Completion of or active pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or Compact RN license.
  • BLS certification as per facility policy.
  • ACLS certification as per facility policy.
