About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our innovative virtual learning environment. This remote position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working from home.

Position Overview

This Virtual Special Education Position is designed for professionals with a passion for teaching diverse learners in grades K-12. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver specialized instruction through virtual platforms, utilizing your expertise to create engaging and effective lessons.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive IEPs for assigned students, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Monitor and document student progress using data-driven methods, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
  • Provide specialized support and modifications for virtual learning, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of your students.
  • Facilitate online meetings with parents, staff, and administration, fostering collaboration and open communication.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements, staying up-to-date on the latest regulations and best practices.
Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of classroom teaching experience, with a proven track record of success in a virtual or traditional setting.
  • A valid North Carolina teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
  • Proficiency in virtual learning platforms and educational technology, including tools such as Google Classroom and Zoom.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience with IEP development and implementation, with a deep understanding of the principles and practices of special education.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Location and Schedule

This is a full-time remote position based in North Carolina, with a regular schedule of Monday-Friday during school hours. You will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, as long as you have a stable internet connection and a suitable workspace.
