Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Professional to work with children and adults with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school professionals and behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals.
  • Implement behavior management techniques, including prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies.
  • Provide crisis intervention and review behavior intervention plans.
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction, SLP, OT, and PT development plans.
  • Document sessions and collect behavioral and academic data accurately.
  • Adhere to confidentiality requirements and support students in independent living skills.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred.
  • Compliance with professional standards of practice.
  • Participation in Amergis' Competency program.
  • CPR certification and TB questionnaire/PPD/clearance.
  • Current health certificate and understanding of patient confidentiality/HIPAA.
  • Effective communication and computer proficiency.
