Job Summary:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides high-quality, patient-centered care to adult medical patients in a fast-paced and challenging environment. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective basic care to patients, including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and collecting specimens.
- Observe patients for physical and emotional changes and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Record pertinent information in patient charts and communicate effectively with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- May function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed.
Requirements:
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant certification
- CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a clinical healthcare environment (preferably six months)
- Experience supporting physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients (preferably six months)
