Position Overview:

We are in search of Structural, Mechanical, and Plumbing Building Code Inspectors in the Fort Myers, FL area. The role involves performing inspections and reviewing plans for both residential and commercial structures, overseeing related projects, and may require occasional travel. This position is primarily field-oriented, complemented by some office responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Florida commercial building inspection license (BN#) in structural, mechanical, or plumbing is required. Additional licenses in electrical or residential are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in plan review and/or inspections.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and/or plan reviews for residential and commercial properties.
  • Prepare comprehensive written and electronic reports; issue correction notices as necessary.
  • Clarify and interpret code regulations and quality control standards to clients and the public.
  • Identify, assess, and effectively resolve unique issues.
  • Maintain strong customer service relationships and assist with business development as needed.
