Job Overview

HARIBO of America is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to oversee and maintain production and packaging machinery efficiently and safely. This role is essential in ensuring that our operations run smoothly at our state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various machinery, including tanks, vats, and kettles, to prepare products for subsequent processes.
  • Address any issues related to product flow, equipment malfunctions, or deviations from standard operations.
  • Inspect packages for accuracy in dates, codes, weights, and cut lines.
  • Ensure machinery is adequately supplied with materials and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Analyze performance data to enhance quality and throughput while troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Report any food safety or quality concerns to management without delay.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing or packaging is necessary.
  • Flexibility to work off-shifts and overtime as required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in machine operations within the fast-moving consumer goods or food and beverage sectors.
  • Familiarity with production and packaging processes, including box erecting and palletizing.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Mathematical proficiency for operational adjustments and calculations.
