Job Title: Production Operator

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at HARIBO of America. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining department production and/or packaging equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a wide array of machinery, including tanks, vats, boilers, and kettles, to prepare product for downstream operations.
  • Resolve any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages or deviations.
  • Check and inspect packages for correct dates, codes, weights and cut lines.
  • Ensure machine is supplied with correct material needed to run and complete documentation.
  • Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
Requirements:
  • Requires education equivalent to a high school diploma.
  • Requires three (3) years of progressive manufacturing and/or packaging experience.
  • Must be flexible with off-shift work schedule and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Machine operations preferably in the fast-moving consumer goods/food/beverage/pharma industries.
  • Understands production and packaging machine operations including box erecting, case packing, and palletizing.
  • Requires computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledgeable of food safety and food quality standards and regulations such as SQF and environmental and people-based safety practices and regulations.
  • Requires mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide, work with percentages. Preferred basic knowledge of algebra as well as make adjustments to equipment settings.
