About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Operations and Manufacturing Excellence to join our team at FlexStaff Careers. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the manufacturing and operational performance of our site, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to improve manufacturing performance, quality, and safety.
  • Customer Focus: Lead the performance of end-to-end manufacturing, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Cost Control: Manage financial and operational targets, including cost of quality, manufacturing, and engineering.
  • Engineering: Create, communicate, and implement engineering processes and procedures, leading the engineering team in converting customer RFQs into workable solutions.
  • Management: Work with the business development and sales team to generate and evaluate new opportunities, represent operations and production in cross-functional product creation teams, and participate in Sales and Operations Planning.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of manufacturing management experience, preferably in optics technology or related high-precision products.
  • Skills: Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma expertise, optics technology, micro assembly, assembly, machine shop, and surface finishing processes manufacturing management, P&L management, building and leading high-performance teams.
