About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Effectors Systems Design & Architecture organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating RF systems to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop and maintain RF system and subsystem level requirements specifications, including interfaces, behaviors, architecture, and verification environments.
  • Verification and Validation: Serve as a technical expert for RF-related verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are being assessed during Design Verification Testing, Format Qualification Testing, and Hardware Qualification.
  • Requirements Management: Perform requirements flow down/allocation and traceability, along with development of the Requirements Verification Matrix.
  • Integration and Troubleshooting: Provide technical expertise in RF integration, troubleshooting, and failure investigations.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead technical discussions, formulate plans of action, and lead technical conversations with customers and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following technical domains, or an Advanced STEM degree and minimum 3 years of professional experience in the following technical domains:
    • Systems engineering, architecture, and/or design
    • System performance and analysis
    • Algorithms and signal processing
    • Electronics (circuit card assemblies, subassemblies, complete systems) requirements, integration, and verification
    • RF Sensor sub-systems requirements, integration, and verification
    • Configurable Logic / Firmware / VHDL architecture, design, development, integration, and verification
  • Skills and Qualifications: Experience capturing system requirements and maintaining system requirements, performing requirements definition, decomposition, and changes, and possessing an active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile Framework Experience: Experience using Agile framework development methods/processes.
  • Azure DevOps Experience: Experience using Azure DevOps methods/tools.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Matlab, C, C#, C++, Python, and ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
