Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses, directs and guides patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies.
This role involves assessing the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients in the healthcare unit and housing units. The LPN assists in planning and implementing individual treatment programs by utilizing available resources and consulting with registered nurses, physicians, and correctional officers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Current, unrestricted Illinois Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License
* Current CPR Certification
* Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
* Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred
