We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mathematics Content Coach to join our team at Acceleration Academies. As a Mathematics Content Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic success of our students by developing and implementing high-quality mathematics curriculum and instructional materials.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Design and develop mathematics curriculum and instructional materials that align with state and national standards.
- Instructional Coaching: Provide coaching and support to teachers to improve their mathematics instruction and student outcomes.
- Professional Development: Develop and deliver professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their mathematics content knowledge and instructional skills.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and implement assessments and evaluations to measure student progress and inform instructional decisions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure that mathematics instruction is aligned with school and district goals.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in mathematics education, including experience in curriculum development and instructional coaching.
- Certification: 7-12 Mathematics endorsement in the state of Nevada is REQUIRED for this position.
- Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field.
- Experience working in a non-traditional school setting and/or with youth who may be considered at-risk.
- Demonstrates a commitment and passion for supporting youth who have disengaged from a traditional school setting, by creating opportunities for academic and personal breakthroughs.
- Strong understanding of and comfort with the use of technology in an educational setting.
