Job Summary

We are seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician to join our team at Medical City Frisco. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient-centric care, ensuring the highest level of comfort and satisfaction for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other relevant data.
  • Document observations, interactions, and patient responses to performed activities, and report any changes to the RN/Team Lead.
  • Assist with mobility, including turning and positioning, dangling, and ambulating patients, and help with the use of walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs.
  • Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, application of heat or ice, and venous compression devices.
  • Collect specimens for diagnostic or waived tests, ensuring accuracy of labels and transfer of specimens.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • CNA, LNA, or EMT training program, or military medic training
  • 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting or as a military medic
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Telemetry certification preferred
